Egis achieves financial close for the M25 Project

Egis Projects, via its dedicated investment vehicle Egis Investment Partners, is a shareholder of Connect Plus, which achieved financial close for the £6.2bn M25 motorway contract on 20 May 2009.

The concession company Connect Plus, comprising besides Egis Investment
Partners (10%), two major UK construction companies Balfour Beatty (40%) and
Skanska (40%) and the UK engineering company Atkins (10%), has been awarded
the contract to widen 63km and operate and maintain the totality of the M25
motorway and strategic road links in and out of London with a total length of 400 km.

The contract value of this 30-year concession (DBFO - Design Build Finance
Operate) is approximately £ 6.2 billion (€ 6,8 billion). During that time Connect Plus
will be responsible for widening key sections of the M25 and providing operating and maintenance services and lifecycle replacement on the whole road, which includes strategic road links in and out of London including 4 tunnels and a 2.8 km bridge over the Thames at Dartford, and 200km of motorways linking to the M25. The operating and maintenance activities of this motorway carrying a daily traffic of 200 000 vehicles, include also the Dartford tolling operations.
