Ivory Coast: Abidjan FHB International airport receives new certification in aircraft security

After obtaining approval of the United States Transport Security Administration (TSA) in 2015, authorizing flights to the United States, the certification "Airport Carbon Accreditation" Level 3+, ie the level of carbon neutrality, and ”Safety Award 2016”, Abidjan airport has just entered a new phase with its certification by the Ivorian Civil Aviation based on the requirements and recommendations of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), which will reinforce its capacity to develop on the international scene.

Certification on the basis of ICAO requirements relates to safety and security, both in terms of infrastructure and operation of the airport.

This certification is the culmination of a process which was started at the initiative of AERIA, with an expression of interest letter in September 2014. Egis teams have accompanied AERIA teams on satisfying varying requirements to obtain the certification.
