The two main hospitals in Dijon (Hôpital Général and Hôpital du Bocage) will be combined in this new facility, with a total capacity of 1664 beds. This constitutes one of the largest hospitals in France.
The operation includes the construction of the new "Bocage Central" building (80,000 sqm) and links to the existing buildings "Bocage 62" and the maternity and children’s unit; the renovation and restructuring of services in the East wing of "Bocage 62". The demolition of buildings and the redirection of networks in existing tunnels impacted by the project are also planned.
The new hospital is based on a departmental organisation of services, with 8 levels, including 4 floors dedicated to services grouped into medical, medical technology and medical-surgical departments, and a helipad on the roof. It has 777 beds (including 105 in A&E and resuscitation), 15 imaging rooms including 3 scanners and 3 MRIs, 25 operating rooms and central disinfection unit for all public and private health facilities in the Dijon area.
Egis's role includes general engineering, partial work on fluids and the metal construction, and active participation in the planning committee.
