Funding: EBRD (European Bank for Reconstruction and Development) and EIB (European Investment Bank)
Since 1995, Dnipropetrovsk has been expecting the extension of its single metro line for 4 km and the construction of three new stations, suspended due to lack of financing. Through EBRD (European Bank for Reconstruction and Development) and EIB (European Investment Bank) funding of € 150 million each, the project was revived in 2012. The new section will connect the train station to the city center.
On Thursday July 28, in an official ceremony, the city of Dnipropetrovsk and the constructor Limak exchanged signed contracts for construction of the Dnipropetrovsk metro line extension. Egis, which has been working for the local municipal authority since 2013, took part in this ceremony.
Construction will start in September 2016 and will last for 5 years.
Since 2013 Egis has been providing assistance to the municipal company for the project identification, procurement support and contract administration.
Egis team will continue providing assistance to the Client in contract and claim administration throughout the construction period.
