Egis is part of a project to create a functional airspace block in Central Europe (FABEC) to optimise air traffic control between France, Germany, Luxembourg, the Netherlands and  Switzerland.

Project overview

The FABEC will harmonise management of the airspace of the six member states, improving coordination of civilian and military air traffic and enhancing the efficiency of air navigation in Europe.

The projects involve a large number of air navigation service providers (ANSP) and stakeholders, including the Deutsche Flugsicherung, the French Air Navigation Service Provider (DSNA - Direction des services de la navigation aérienne), Maastricht UAC, Belgocontrol, Skyguide, the London air traffic control centre, the Swiss air force, the French air force, the French military air traffic control authority (DIRCAM), the German air force, etc.

Our missions

Egis is a service provider for Belgocontrol, on behalf of its FABEC partners. Egis contributes its safety expertise to a range of FABEC working groups, task forces and project managers. It participates in safety and security activities on a number of projects managed by the working groups, according to their respective methodologies.
