In 2011, a major project was launched for the design and construction of sewerage networks, pumping and treatment stations in five pilot municipalities in Dominican Républic.
The five municipalities are San Cristóbal, Monte Cristi, San José de Ocoa, Azua and Neyba. 500 km of gravity and pressure systems, over 30,000 domestic connections, six pumping stations and eight purification plants for 3,500 to 70,000 population equivalent are planned.
Egis is responsible for designing sewerage systems (sewers and pumping stations) on behalf of Vinci, in collaboration with the INAPA (Instituto Nacional de Aguas
y Potables Alcantarillados).
