Asia is the driving force for the global economy and an important market for Egis.
Egis adapts its services according to the different economic needs which coexist on this the largest continent in the world. We are part of the increasing activity in this region, such as the nuclear industry in China, infrastructure in Indonesia, facilities and operations in India.

Asia is Egis's second largest location in the world with 2500 employees based in the region. The group operates in China, Mongolia, South Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, Cambodia and Vietnam, on a very large number of projects (including urban transport and road infrastructure). Egis  is also active in Thailand where it has completed the immense Industrial Ring Road project in Bangkok as well as a 941m cable-stayed structure on the Southern Outer Bangkok Ring Road.

In Malaysia, our bridge experts built the Muar Bridge (cable-stayed structure 632m in length).

In the area of highway operations, Egis is working on Daejeon Riverside in South Korea, in Australia Egis operates and maintains the Legacy Way Tunnel in Brisbane and has been awarded the operations & maintenance contract for WestConnex, Australia’s largest infrastructure project. In the Philippines, we operate and maintain the North Luzon Expressway, the Subic-Clark-Tarlac expressway and the Daang Hari-SLEX link road.

Focus on China

Already active in the railway sector, Egis is now a recognised leader in China's nuclear industry, where following on from the Daya Bay and Ling Ao projects it is now working on a large project involving  two EPR reactors at Taishan, in the Guangdong Province.

Originally dedicated to energy and industry, the creation of our Egis China subsidiary in Beijing facilitates relationships with major Chinese construction groups present in all areas within which Egis traditionally works.

Focus on Indonesia

Our group has been operating in Indonesia since 1979 where its expertise is particularly recognized in the fields of road, rail, air, water and mining.

Through our subsidiary PT Egis International Indonesia, Egis is meeting huge infrastructure needs. Among the flagship projects involving Egis teams, highlights include implementation of the air traffic control system at Makassar airport, development of the motorway network for the island of Kalimantan, feasibility studies of infrastructure and facilities related to mining in Weda Bay as well as the rehabilitation of 400 km of roads and bridges across twenty islands.
