At Egis we are proud of our track record in the digital space, with award-winning tools, skills, and partnerships. But we also know that it’s not enough. The world is changing, fast! And we must adapt what we do and how we do it. So, from early 2023 on, we have reorganised, recruited, and redefined our whole approach to digital.
New teams, ambitious investment, and a new direction – all with the aim of meeting our climate commitments, supporting our clients, increasing our operational efficiency and enhancing the value-added of our people.
Designers, advisors, engineers, and operators – our unique operational insight adds value across the lifecycle of infrastructure and mobility systems and services. This presents us with distinct challenges and opportunities when it comes to data and automation.
How can we use the vast quantities of data at our fingertips efficiently and responsibly? How do we improve digital consistency and continuity to improve user experience? How could we design less emissive projects, how could we increase the lifespan of brownfield assets? These are just some of the questions our digital ‘reset’ seeks to answer.
Our commitment to digital renewal starts at the very top. A new digital executive board (DEB) is backing an initial portfolio of 14 initiatives with new services, efficiency tools and international cooperation at the heart of the plan.
The first wave spans augmented design (standardization, automation, generative design, realistic visualization), technical AI-enhanced tools, eco-design software within every employee's reach, large language modelling solutions, best in class platform of production and digital asset management services for our Clients. Together, this multi million Euro investment programme will help our people work smarter, support the smooth running of the , and ease the burden on our planet’s limited resources.
Following a major recruitment drive we now have a large inhouse team of dedicated digital architects, developers, data engineers, AI specialists, working alongside sector specialists and targeted partners.
We are managing change through these vibrant and dynamic digital communities, each with clear goals and remits. Alongside them, the Egis Academy is raising awareness and accelerating skill levels amongst employees, with targeted digital training programmes and events.
"In a constantly changing environment, digitalisation is essential to ensure the growth of our company. This global transformation goes beyond the company's internal boundaries and involves a wider ecosystem. It's crucial that we constantly reassess ourselves and adopt the right change management to embrace continuous transformation towards a desirable future."
