Egis signs a framework agreement with the Philippine government and advises it in flood prevention measures

Flood protection is a major issue for the Philippines! The archipelago is one of the world’s most affected countries by climate change, which substantial repercussions for the population.

The Philippine government, funded by the Asian Development Bank (ADB), has launched a wide-ranging programme to bolster its flood protection infrastructure, along with a hydraulic engineering master plan for the country’s main catchment basins.

Working in association with Inclam and Kecc, Egis will advise the Philippine government for four years in its ambitious flood prevention programme.

This is an innovative approach by the ADB which involves deploying a project team for four years based in Manila, and conducting several studies ranging from the master plan for hydraulic engineering works on the most sensitive catchments to detailed designs of the selected protection structures.
