In June, come and see us at the 2017 APTA Rail Conference in Baltimore!

As a member of the American Public Transportation Association, Egis will be present at the 2017 APTA Rail Conference between June 11 and June 14, at the Hilton Baltimore, Baltimore, MD.

One of our top electrical engineers will be speaking at the APTA conference on Tuesday June 13 from 8:30-10:00 AM. Marc Friaud will lead a technical session dealing with railway line traction power supply systems. The title of his talk is: “An Innovative System for 25KV Traction Power Supply the 2x25KV++”.

The 2x25kV++ system is an innovative power transmission method for use on railway lines. Some of the advantages delivered by this catenary impedance reduction system include:

  • Better quality of power supply,
  • Energy savings,
  • Lower maintenance costs,
  • Lower environmental footprint.

This patent protected system is the result of Egis’ investment in innovation.
