Hermes Airports, an airport concession in which Egis is shareholder in 20% and operating partner, is the recipient of the MEECO Silver Designation for the period 2018-2020. At the same time, Pafos International Airport won the first award and become “Europe’s Most Accessible Airport” for people with disabilities and reduced mobility.
The MEECO (Measuring Excellence in Executive Coaching, Employee Engagement and Culture in Organizations) Institute was established in 2016 and is an international mechanism for measuring company excellence and performance in leadership, corporate culture and coaching.
As noted by the evaluation committee itself, Hermes Airports is the organization that has experienced a turnaround despite the difficulties that arose due to the economic crisis, and the first airport in the world to receive this prestigious designation.
This designation, as noted by the MEECO committee, represents the achievement of a standard of excellence in design, execution and the sustainability of a superior human resources program to support leadership and executive coaching. The Chief Executive Officer of Hermes Airports, Ms Eleni Kaloyirou and the Senior Manager Human Resources, Ms Natasa Iacovides received the award during a ceremony held in Colorado, United States of America.
By ensuring the MEECO designation, Hermes Airports' practices and experiences are now a reference point and example to many other organizations and businesses, both in Cyprus and abroad, that wish to emphasize and develop further their human resources, investing in what is undoubtedly their greater asset: their own people.
In 2019, Hermes Airports will host in Cyprus the ACI Europe Annual Congress.
