The project includes the construction of 15 kms of new road, including a 1 km long, 6-lane cable-stayed bridge over the Fraser River.
The freeflow tolling solution includes two overhead gantries supporting equipment enabling automatic vehicle detection and classification, tolling transaction with on-board units and license plate recognition. The tolling system is designed to manage 50 million annual transactions and will be able to incorporate additional gantries.
