The city of Lyon is to renovate its Part Dieu business district in order to increase its appeal throughout Europe.

Date : 2012
Client: Grand Lyon Communauté urbaine – Mission Part Dieu

Project overview

The Greater Lyon Urban Authority is renovating the Part Dieu district with the intention of making it an attractive place to live and a competitive centre for tertiary sector businesses. The project is aiming to double the volume of real estate on offer, taking it to 1.5 million square-metres by 2025.

Egis was entrusted with the feasibility study for the “open station” operation, to make Part Dieu a veritable hub for modern, multi-modal transport links, enhanced by services and shops.

Our missions

Egis is delivering several services for the project:

  • Diagnostic analysis of the current situation: real estate, land ownership, built environment, utility networks, public spaces.
  • Development of a real-estate and urban renewal programme.
  • Programming of a multi-modal hub.
  • Study of accessibility to the multi-modal hub and traffic plan for the widened sector.
