Participation in this major development project for the Ile de France region is a mark of Egis' active presence in public transport engineering and of its expertise in the area of automatic metro systems and equipment.
The Greater Paris metro project comprises, at term, the laying of 166 km of new lines and building of 57 new stations, mostly connecting with the existing or future transport system. This new network will very significantly increase the size of the public transport system in Ile de France.
Egis, acting within a consortium, has been awarded one of the largest contracts to provide PMC services for systems for lines 15, 16 and 17 representing 100 km of line and including 40 stations, for an overall amount of €96 million.
Extending over a period of 18 years, this contract covers PMC services for: the tracks, high-current systems, overhead contact line, low-current systems, platform facades, industrial equipment for maintenance workshops, electro-mechanical equipment and pipe systems.
Working with the Richez Associés agency, Egis is also to conduct the PMC studies for the first rolling stock maintenance and depot site for Line 15 South, in the municipality of Champigny-sur-Marne. An important industrial site for operation of the Greater Paris network.
The Koruseo consortium, lead by Egis, won in 2016 the EPCM services for the infrastructures of the Line 15 East between Saint-Denis Pleyel and Champigny-Center. With its 23 km underground, this new automatic metro line will link Saint-Denis Pleyel to Champigny Center in less than 30 minutes and will serve 12 municipalities. It is connected to line 15 South and line 15 North and allows connections with RER B, D and E, metro lines 1, 5, 7, 11, 12 and 14, tramways T1, T4, T8 And the TLN and several bus terminals. The commissioning of this section is planned for 2025-2030.
Within the framework of the line 15 East, the building teams of Egis and those of Elioth, will also work on Pont-de-Bondy station, whose architectural project management contract has been entrusted to BIG and Silvio d'Ascia. They are in charge of the finishing works and the footbridge, facade and HQE.
