Egis provides full EPCM services for the Luxembourg LRT system.
This 16.2-km line consists of 24 stations. It will be operational along its entire length in 2021.
A first stretch is to be commissioned in the second half of 2017 to serve the city centre and the Kirchberg plateau, home to most of Luxembourg’s economic activity as well as the European institutions. The line will also include a 3.6-km section without overhead lines, with vehicles “flash-recharging” at stops (through a ground-based power system).
Egis leads the consortium in charge of the comprehensive project management, an assignment which comprises : project design, construction tendering and contract award, works supervision and acceptance, including testing, coordination & planning and safety.
The assignments include the transport system, all of the operating systems, public utilities and wall-to-wall urban planning along with the redevelopment in the city centre.
