Egis signs two contracts in District Heating in Kosovo

Egis has been awarded two new contracts under EU financing in the district heating sector in Gjakova and Pristina in Kosovo. After a number of successes in Ukraine and Central Asia in the past few years, these recent awards in the Balkans mark a new milestone in the international development of Egis’ district heating activities.

These new District Heating assignments in Kosovo consist in Construction Supervision and Technical Assistance, and also include a Tariff Study and a Supply Chain development for the rehabilitation of the District Heating Network in Pristina, and for the construction of the Biomass Heating Plant in Gjakova.

The award of those contracts to Egis is not only a confirmation of the Group’s growing development in the District Heating sector, but also a recognition of its technical expertise in new technologies, such as biomass heating plant with cogeneration technology, which will be applied in Gjakova.
