Egis will once again be attending the General Assembly of Airport Council International (ACI) Africa, taking place 12 to 18 October 2019 in Accra, Ghana.
This annual event brings together airport industry leaders from all over the world, focusing on hot topics that are shaping the evolution of the airport industry.
For the 2019 edition, the theme "Smart airports of the future, are we ready?" will be at the heart of all debates. How can digital transformation provide innovative solutions to airports, including capacity, security, resource optimisation and passenger experience? What initiatives will shape the African airports of tomorrow from a sustainable development perspective? These are all questions to be addressed across the range of sessions.
Olivier Baric, Aviation Director Africa at Egis, will present in session 6 “Challenges of digital transformation at small airports in Africa” on 15 October at 16:30 pm. He will also moderate session 7 "Adaptation to climate change, are we sufficiently prepared?" on 16 October at 10:30 am.
The CEOs of African concessions of the Egis airport network, Gilles Darriau from AERIA (Abidjan airport, Côte d'Ivoire) and Daniel Lefebvre from AERCO (Congolese airports), will also attend the event with their teams.
Egis has been the shareholder and the major technical partner of Abidjan airport since 1996 and of Congolese airports (Brazzaville, Pointe Noire and Ollombo) since 2011.
