Egis agrees to finance a scholarship for an Ivorian student with a double degree from the Institut National Polytechnique d'Abidjan and the Ecole Nationale d'Aviation Civile in France.
On the occasion of the Paris-Le Bourget Air Show, Egis decided to provide financial support to an Ivorian student along with the Centre des Métiers de l'Aviation - Abidjan (CMA)* as part of a first double agreement between Ecole Nationale d'Aviation Civile (ENAC) in Toulouse and Institut National Polytechnique Félix Houphouët-Boigny (INP-HB) in Abidjan.
To celebrate 50 years in aviation Egis is going forward with its commitment to award scholarships to students in aviation-related degrees in 5 major regions of the world. Earlier this year Egis attributed a first scholarship to an engineering student in France.
ENAC and INP-HB both signed an agreement on the 19th of June in the presence of Frédéric Nicolon, Egis Avia’s Deputy Director General and represented by Olivier Chansou, Director General of ENAC and by Koffi N'Guessan and Yeo Zié, respectively Director General and Head of the INP-HB Aviation Training Centre. Egis and CMA will participate in the selection jury for the profile of the student receiving the scholarship for September 2019.
The selected student will take the first two years of the Information and Communication Science and Technology curriculum at the École Supérieure d'Industrie associated with INP-HB. He/she will then enter the 2nd year of the ENAC engineering program in Toulouse and will also continue his/her 3rd year there. In case of success in his/her studies, he/she will graduate in 2 engineering diplomas awarded jointly by ENAC and INP-HB. Both merit and low income-based, the scholarship will help the student cover the cost of his/her tuition fees in France.
