Indonesia: Egis awarded upstream studies of the future Jakarta East-West line

Egis was assigned the corridor studies for the future East-West metro line of Jakarta, calling on transport and organizational planning.

The project assigned by PT. MRT Jakarta provides for the definition and feasibility studies of the future East-West line. Egis is working with the current owner and operator of the metro, in assessing best route options, technologies to adopt and funding schemes to finance the future line.

The first and only mass rapid transit line of Jakarta opened to the public in March 2019, and its extension is already under construction. MRT Jakarta has set their eyes on the next line and integrated transit network.

Egis has built up a solid reputation in urban transit and railway engineering in South-East Asia and Indonesia, following its assignment as technical advisor for Palembang LRT (first urban line of Indonesia in operation). This illustrates Egis capacity to address multiple topics and complex projects with local requirements.
