The most modern tram depot will be built in Warsaw

Egis in Poland will be one of the main actors of this project! The tram depot “Annopol” (Located in the district Białołęka in Warsaw) can accommodate over 150 vehicles with a length of 33 meters and the IT system will be responsible for its operation.

Egis team will take care of the quality of technical documentation and will supervise the construction phase of the depot. Egis will support Tramwaje Warszawski in the tender for construction works, its tasks will include checking the correctness of the project: for this purpose a virtual model of the depot will be developed, BIM technology (Building Information Modeling) will be used, this technology is used during the most complex and demanding investments.

The Annopol depot will occupy an area of almost 12 hectares, the length of all tracks in the depot will exceed 14 km. The Annopol depot will be the first in Poland to be powered to such a large extent from environmentally friendly, renewable energy sources (heat pumps and solar cells will be used). It is also planned to store water in tanks and use it for washing squares, vehicles and watering green areas. The water circuit in the car washes will be closed, and the area of the depot will be isolated with acoustic screens that will absorb some of the noise generated by the depot.

Construction must be completed in 2023 and is co-financed within EU funding under Operational Program Infrastructure and Environment 2014-2020.
