A successful participation to GAD Asia for Egis

The 2016 edition of GAD Asia – a leading airport development & finance event – was the first to be held in India. It took place from September 7th to 9th in Delhi. Looking to develop its presence in the region and as a key player in airport management, development and operations, Egis actively contributed to the conference.

Through a dedicated panel session, Middle East & India Aviation Director at Egis Jacques Khoriaty was asked about the challenges for airport concessions in Saudi Arabia. Along with speakers from Mott MacDonald, Daa International and others, he discussed the issues and assets of these airports and the pipeline of deals, with 26 domestic airports to be privatised this year in KSA, following the example of Medina Airport. In another session, Jacques also raised the question about the right model to attract investment in smaller airports, providing insights into their major challenges and potential structuration and management models, based on the Egis experience.

This edition of the GAD Asia conference saw a 25% attendance increase, with the event gathering 200+ airport CEOs, CFOs, airlines senior leaders, policy makers, and regulators from across the region and around the world.
