Egis in Brazil: donating warm clothing to homeless people

Egis's Brazilian teams, in Sao Paulo and Curitiba, organised an appeal for clothing and blankets to help homeless people. From 28 June to 30 August 2016, they collected 80 blankets and 40 items of warm clothing.

On 31 August, the Sao Paulo teams went to give the donations to the church of "Largo de Sao Francisco", a church that hosts homeless people. The collection in Curitiba, in the state of Parana, was sent the same day to the prefecture, which gave the clothes out to those in need. The Egis teams were warmly thanked.

This year, several Brazilian cities experienced a very harsh winter. Egis's charity work for people who are homeless or in need is particularly important given that in the city of Sao Paulo alone, at least five people died of hypothermia in 2016.

The appeal organised by Egis employees shows the group's values in action: a caring and responsible company.
