Egis will play an active role in the project "Consulting Services for Reducing Non-Billed Water under the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development in Tultitlán," working with Tultitlán's water and sanitation authority in the State of Mexico. This represents Egis's first water sector reference in Mexico and marks an important milestone in building our capabilities in this industry.

Context
In Mexico, water challenges go beyond scarcity—it's about efficiency. While 96.1% of households have access to piped water, only 58% receive it daily, and between 12 and 15 million people live with severe water shortages.
The most expensive water is the water that never reaches the consumer. Water utilities lose between 40% and 50% of distributed volumes, with a physical efficiency rate of just 46.65%, due to leaks, measurement errors, and illegal connections—nearly half of all treated water never reaches its destination.

This project represents far more than a new contract: it marks the beginning of a new business line for Egis in Mexico, laying the groundwork for future opportunities in the water sector at local and regional scales.
