Egis has signed a contract for the development of design and estimation documentation components of Issyk-kul Environmental Management and Sustainable Tourism Development project in Kyrgyzstan.
On August 8, 2022, The Director of the State Construction Committee of Kyrgyz Republic Mr. Djetybaev and Representative of Egis in Kyrgyzstan Mr.Aibek Abdurasulov signed a contract in the presence of the Ambassador of France in the Kyrgyz Republic Mr. Francois Delaus for revision of the feasibility study and development of design and estimation documents for the project to be implemented in the city of Cholpon-Ata.
The Project Readiness for Issyk-kul Environmental Management and Sustainable Tourism Development is funded by the Asian Development Bank. The amount of funding is $50 million, 50% of which is a grant. The funds will be used for the construction of a sewage treatment plant and pumping stations, the improvement of solid waste treatment facilities, and the implementation of many important measures to improve the infrastructure of Cholpon-Ata, including the nearest villages.
