Egis appoints managing director for UK and Ireland as it integrates teams across the two countries
Global engineering consultancy and operations firm, Egis, has appointed a single managing director for the UK and Ireland as its teams across the two countries continue to grow and work more closely together.
Francois Basselot has been promoted to the role, having led Egis’ energy and sustainable cities division across Europe and Africa for the last two and half years, following a decade in tier one consultancies in the UK and Ireland as well as internationally.
The move forms part of Egis’ ambition to significantly expand its operations across the UK and Ireland as priority markets. A central part of these plans is combining the strengths of its teams as they work to meet the two countries’ critical infrastructure needs.
Claire Davies, currently Egis in the UK managing director, has been appointed as Chief Operating Officer for Egis Europe and Africa while her counterpart in Ireland, Steve Preece steps into the role of Managing Director for the Operations and Maintenance Business at Egis in Ireland, which is engaged in the operation and maintenance of Dublin Tunnel, 470km of Ireland's motorways as well as the country's mobile road safety camera network.
