Egis will be the strategic partner, guiding FertigHy - a company founded by EIT InnoEnergy, RIC Energy, MAIRE, Siemens Financial Services, InVivo and HEINEKEN - through the permitting process, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards for their new state-of-the-art plant in Northern France.
FertigHy specializes in the production of next-generation, low-carbon fertilizers designed to enhance agricultural productivity while minimizing environmental impact.
Their Languevoisin plant scheduled for construction in 2027 and operational in 2030, represents a significant leap forward for sustainable industry practices, combining innovation and environmental consciousness, as it will produce low-carbon fertilizers from low-carbon and renewable energies, replacing the use of imported natural gas traditionally used in this industry.
Egis will oversee all steps required to obtain this key authorization, with a comprehensive approach that includes:
- Preliminary Assessment: Egis will conduct an early environmental and risk assessment for the FertigHy plant. This assessment aims to identify critical safety and environmental aspects during the design phase, supporting the CNDP (Commission Nationale de Débat Public) process and ensuring compliance with permit requirements.
- Regulatory Assistance: During the feasibility and pre-FEED (Preliminary Front-End Engineering Design) engineering phases, Egis will identify all documentation and information required for the AEU (Authorization for Environmental Use) file.
- AEU Preparation: Egis will prepare the AEU file, addressing all relevant requirements.
- Regulatory assistance following filing of the AEU.
Egis is committed to providing our clients with in-depth expertise and comprehensive support for their most ambitious projects. Egis' multidisciplinary expertise brings together environmental, engineering, regulatory and communications specialists to ensure a comprehensive and rigorous approach to this complex project.
With FertigHy, the Group is demonstrating its ability to support innovative and sustainable industrial initiatives and its willingness to participate in such projects, fully in line with its climate commitments.
