Journey to Egis
The Egis Transition is a significant milestone for our organization, signifying a profound change as we evolve into Egis North America. This shift goes beyond a name change, reflecting our commitment to adapting and thriving in the new North American market. As Egis North America, our goal is to bring a fresh perspective and innovative approach to our operations, addressing the unique challenges and opportunities in the region.
Social activities in our Communities
Food Drive
McIntosh Perry employees showcased remarkable generosity. With around 800 food items and over $800 in cash donations, the initiative was a triumphant success, reflecting the company’s culture of kindness. Committed to community welfare, McIntosh Perry pledged to match each donation, contributing an additional $1,600 to the cause.
Getting Social
At McIntosh Perry, we prioritize meaningful connections and a strong sense of community. Our nationwide gatherings, featuring BBQs and social events, create a relaxed yet networking-rich environment. These events, attended by over 300 employees, offer a unique opportunity for informal interaction, fostering shared vision and understanding of the company’s progress and future directions.
Earth Day
For Earth Day 2023, McIntosh Perry demonstrated commitment to the planet. Volunteers from Ottawa and GTA Offices, along with their families, planted 150 trees and cleaned local areas throughout April. Thanks to all participants for contributing to a more sustainable future.
Project Highlights
Infrastructure & Transportation – Roundabout Design, Highway 62 at Moira/Ridge Road
The purpose of the project is to install a roundabout at the intersection of Highway 62 and Ridge Rd./Moira Road, several km north of the city of Belleville, Ontario. The new roundabout will improve traffic flow and improve traffic safety at this intersection. Additionally, the project includes illumination improvements at a trail crossing south of the new roundabout, and completing the creek bank restoration at the Rawdon Creek structure located just south of the intersection.
MP/Egis prepared the detailed design package for contract tendering and construction.
The work is scheduled to start in the summer of 2023 and should be completed in the fall of 2024.
During construction, the existing Highway 62 alignment will remain open during construction of the roundabout and realignment. Temporary single-lane closures are required to tie new Highway 62 into the current alignment. The existing posted speed limit of 80 km/h on Highway 62 will be reduced to 60 km/h during the workday when and where workers are present. Flag persons will be used for traffic control during temporary lane closures only.
