Restoration of Ukraine's infrastructure and Green post-war recovery! Egis in Ukraine co-organizer of the annual International Smart Building Forum in Kyiv. The event was dedicated to the restoration of Ukraine's infrastructure, as well as the introduction and development of technologies in cities.
The forum was held in the heart of Kyiv on European Square at the Ukrainian House National Center. The event brought together more than 50 companies, brands, and startups that are innovators in the field of technology. This year's forum visited +600 participants and +300 online participants. About 40 speakers joined the event and presented their knowledge and achievements on the topics:
- Smart cities in Ukraine;
- Restoration of territories;
- Financial instruments and investments for cities;
- Ecology in cities;
- Green technologies: ready-made solutions;
- Smart construction
Green post-war recovery was the topic of the second day of the Smart Building Forum which was organized with the support of the EU. One of the main speakers of the day was Svitlana Krakovska, a climate scientist who is ranked among the 10 most influential scientists of 2022 by Nature magazine. She is also a key expert in the EU-funded APENA3 project that aimed at strengthening cooperation between Ukraine and the EU by addressing priority issues in the areas of environmental assessment, waste management, and climate change. In her speech, Svitlana spoke about the role of climate change adaptation in the post-war reconstruction of Ukraine. The climate scientist noted that the war in Ukraine changed the world and forced the transition to renewable energy sources to be accelerated.
Egis is actively involved in projects aimed at the restoration of Ukraine, using international expertise and local experience to implement large-scale infrastructure and reconstruction projects.
