Egis in partnership with APHPi, has signed the Project Management Office mission for two major hospitals in Peru for the Peruvian Ministry of Health (MINSA).
The project consists in the construction of new buildings for Sergio Enrique Bernales Hospital in Lima (56,564 m² / 525 beds) and the rehabilitation of Antonio Lorena Hospital in Cusco whose construction has been stopped since 2014 (43 413 m² / 314 beds).
Seismic, environmental and archaeological aspects will be essential. The mission should start in July 2020 for a duration of about 3 years.
The role of Buildings teams corresponds to assistance to hospital project owners (PMO) and includes technical project management missions : risk, cost and quality management, planning, control, performance monitoring, representation and technical coordination.
In the current healthcare context, the construction of these two hospitals has become a major challenge for the country and its healthcare system. The direct beneficiaries of these two hospitals are estimated at more than 3.4 million people.
