The Lu Ban Award is the highest distinction in China for projects carried out by Chinese companies, awarded every two years by the China Construction Industry Association.
This year, it is the Mohammed VI bridge near Rabat, which crosses the Bouregreg wadi and bypasses the city of Rabat.
The award recognises the first - and largest - cable-stayed bridge built on the African continent for its technical excellence and unique design. Indeed, the bridge combines the highest concrete/steel structure in the world. In service for nearly 5 years, the bridge is 100 metres high and 950 metres long.Egis managed the execution studies, produced the execution study files and carried out the geotechnical expertise.
