Egis has reorganized its activities in Romania, introducing new management roles to strengthen the transport business, better align with the Group's organizational structure, and increase overall efficiency.
A new structure of Egis in Romania
Since the start of autumn, the Board of Directors of Egis Romania S.A. has approved a new structure for the company's activities.
By this, the Transportation Design and Transportation Supervision Departments have been merged into a single new department, the Transportation Department, and several other measures meant to ensure a leaner and more effective organization of the Company’s activity have been adopted. The new organizational structure of Egis in Romania also involves expanding the responsibilities of senior managers, as well as opening new leadership positions in the company.
Expansion of design production capabilities
The new organization of the company aligns with Egis' development strategy at the group level and includes expanding the role and responsibilities of Rosario Russo, former Manager of the Transportation Design department, who will now manage design production across a network of Egis’ design offices around the globe. This will facilitate greater collaboration and transfer of ideas between design production centers, whilst also enhancing Egis' ability to balance demand and capacity across its fast-growing portfolio of design projects.
Well-known in the Romanian infrastructure design market, where he has been active for more than 17 years, Rosario Russo will now occupy the position of Head of Technical Production, Transportation Business Line. In his new position, Rosario Russo will be based in France, and traveling frequently between Egis design production centers in Europe.
Manuela Copcea, the new Transportation Department Manager
Manuela Copcea, former manager of the Transportation Supervision Department, is now leading the new Transportation Department, with extended responsibilities in the company overseeing all design and supervision teams and projects in road, rail, and urban transport domains in Romania. In this role, Manuela will be responsible for a number of almost 100 employees organized in separate teams and based at various sites in Romania.
Manuela Copcea started her career as Technical Assistance to the Ministry of Transport and has been with Egis in Romania for more than 21 years, where she has held senior management positions since 2003.
Two new roles in the company
The new changes in the organization have opened up two new management positions, both in the department headed by Manuela Copcea.
Thus, the position of Transportation Department Deputy Manager will be ensured by Andrei Negrescu and the position of Transportation Supervision Team Leader by Alexandru Iuga.
As a Transportation Department Deputy Manager, with over 13 years of experience in Egis, Andrei Negrescu will assist the Transportation Department Manager in leading and overseeing the departmental teams’ activities across all transport infrastructure domains, ensuring that projects are delivered, resources are optimally allocated, and the clients and company’s goals are met with the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
Having joined the company more than seven years ago, Alexandru Iuga has held key positions in the supervision of important infrastructure works such as the Transylvania Highway. In his new position as Transportation Supervision Team Leader, Alexandru Iuga will manage and coordinate all transport supervision projects and oversee the site-based resident engineers and their teams.
