CCAT Solution Grup and Egis have been awarded a €2.6M contract to provide Project Management Services for the Regional water and wastewater infrastructure development project in Satu Mare county promoted by Apaserv Satu Mare S.A.
On the 10th of March, 2022, CCAT Solution Grup, as leader of the association with Egis, signed a 2.6 million euro contract to support implementing a project for further development of the water and wastewater infrastructure in Satu Mare county, as a continuation of the efforts by Regional Water Operator Apaserv Satu Mare SA in safeguarding access to clean drinking water for human consumption for as many localities as possible in the region, together with improved collection and treatment of wastewater.
During the 24-month contract, CCAT - Egis partnership will provide technical and managerial support that targets development of the water operator’s institutional capacity to identify and prioritize investments in water sources protection and water distribution to reach localities with population above 50 inhabitants and wastewater facilities to cover agglomerations above 2000 inhabitants.
The expertise of CCAT – Egis partnership will be transposed into strategies for the regional water operator to control the industrial water discharges, to reduce water loss, to better protect water resources and to efficiently manage the sludge generated by treatment plants. An important task under the project management contract is to raise awareness on the project ecological impact and our overall responsibilities towards environment, to create positive attitudes on the efficient use of water resources and adequate behaviour in water consumption and discharge, as means towards improved living conditions for us all.
The Regional water and wastewater infrastructure development project in Satu Mare county is a step further to previous projects in complying to EU directives in terms of aligning Romania to European standards of sustainable water resources, efficient collection and discharge of wastewater and reduction of water loss.
