Thanks to our unrivalled global experience, we know how to develop and structure investment in motorways, bridges and tunnels – including whole life-cycle management. We invest equity alongside institutional investors and provide unique operationally driven insight to our co-sponsors and financial partners.

Operations and maintenance.

With a network of 45 roads and motorways, including 600 km of roads, we operate and maintain key infrastructure in 20 different countries in Africa. We were honoured to receive the 2020 Toll Excellence Award from the International Bridge, Tunnel and Turnpike Association (IBTTA). We also received multiple awards from BenchmarkPortal® for excellence in aall centres & customer service globally.

Mobility services.

Drawing on our deep expertise in developing innovative mobility solutions, we help public transport authorities to manage and integrate various modes of public transport. We offer clients a long track record of improving operational and traffic management outcomes, safety levels, maintenance standards and the provision of value-added services

Transformation.

Empowerment of local people and socio-economic development in South Africa is imperative. We value the benefits of operating a diverse workforce, particularly in terms of gender and race. We aim to nurture an inclusive workplace culture that helps individuals develop and progress.

Our growth strategy aims to stimulate and empower a vibrant ecosystem of SMMEs in South Africa. We are doing this by developing strong partnerships and local supply chains. As part of our Corporate Social Investment Initiatives, we are also nurturing relationships with non-governmental organisations (NGOs), emphasising those that work in youth development and road safety.

Environment.

At Egis, protecting the environment is a central pillar of our corporate social responsibility (CSR) strategy. Therefore, we joined WWF South Africa's Business Network as a Gold Business Network Partner from 1 February 2021.

As a WWF South Africa's Business Network Gold Partner, we have now also joined the South African Chapter of the Alliances for Climate Action (ACA) initiative - with net carbon neutrality as the main objective.

Skills development.

Rebuilding of the technical skills base in South Africa is a priority to us. We offer education and training opportunities, particularly to those from previously disadvantaged groups. We also run internal skills programs that ensure local skills transfer and exposure to our global best practices.

Critically, we are committed to helping develop the next generation of technical and engineering professionals through bursaries, learnerships and active mentoring across South Africa.
