Connecting territories
Peru is a country committed to the development and modernization of its transport infrastructure. Egis is working on two major road projects. The first one is "The New Central Highway” (Nueva Carretera Central), which will connect the central coastal region of Peru, including the capital Lima, with the central Andes and provide a point of entry into the Amazon region. The second project is "Via Expresa Santa Rosa", an elevated expressway to connect the new airport terminal of Lima`s International Airport. The project will include urban integration at street-level, landscaping and the redesign of green areas and bike paths.
These two projects are essential for the economic and social development of the country. This contract was awarded as part of the Government to Government (G2G) Agreement signed between the Republics of Peru and France in May 2021.
Improving public health services
The Group is also acting as the Project Management Office for two of Peru's largest hospitals: the Antonio Lorena Hospital in Cuzco ( over 300 beds) and the Sergio Bernales Hospital in Lima (over 500 beds).
In a post covid crisis era the construction and rehabilitation of these two hospitals, implemented in the context of a Government to Government Agreement between the Republics of Peru and France, signed in June 2020, has become of major importance for the country and its health system. The direct beneficiaries are estimated at around 1.4 million people.
These projects aim to provide the population and the regional and national authorities with the public health services they need as quickly as possible.
Supporting the country's urban development
Egis supports its public and private clients in urban mobility projects both in Lima, which has a growing population of over 10 million. Our multidisciplinary teams are mobilizing all their know-how and skills to meet the high demand for urban transport through a Rams consulting project for Line 2 of the Lima metro.
