Enhancing ‘smart city’ parking operations through technology innovation

As Milton Keynes experiences rapid growth, it continues to bolster its international reputation as one of Europe’s leading ‘smart cities’. Smart technologies have been pivotal in achieving the city’s ambitious goals of revolutionising its transport infrastructure to enhance mobility, reduce congestion and improve the road-user experience for both residents and visitors as part of its MK Futures 2050 vision.
To address challenges in its parking operations, the city selected Egis in 2018 as a long-term partner to deliver a programme of digital transformation aimed at streamlining the Council’s parking enforcement operations.
