At the project's inception, the clients faced several challenges typical of large-scale developments, such as managing tight timeframes, coordinating multiple stakeholders, and requiring specialist expertise to ensure success. A primary concern was preserving Hoi An's historical and cultural integrity, given its status as a UNESCO World Heritage site. The clients were also mindful of the social impact on local communities, aiming to boost tourism without disrupting the cultural fabric. Additionally, they needed to integrate modern amenities within the resort while respecting the architectural heritage. These challenges are common in projects where historical preservation and modern development intersect, making this case study relevant to other clients facing similar complexities. Inhabit was chosen for their expertise in sustainable design and their ability to harmonize contemporary structures with historical contexts, addressing these concerns effectively.
