Egis played a central role in the early stages of the project for Santiago Metro, leading the development of the conceptual engineering for Lines 8 and 9 between 2022 and 2023.
This phase enabled the comprehensive definition of the railway systems, addressing all critical project subsystems under a fully unattended GOA4 approach. This involved designing from the outset an infrastructure and system architecture prepared for fully automated operation, without onboard train staff, while ensuring high standards of safety, reliability, state-of-the-art technology and operational performance.
