Egis has been contracted by the European Investment Bank (EIB) to provide technical assistance support to the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development of the Republic of Moldova in the preparation of the National Transport Investment Programme and Action Plan, a key first step towards implementing the country’s Mobility Strategy 2030.
Delivered under the EU-funded Facility for Eastern Partnership Investment in Connectivity (EPIC) with a specific funding contribution from the European Investment Bank (EIB) under its EU4U Advisory Programme, this technical assistance aims to lay the foundations for a more efficient, integrated and sustainable transport system, aligned with Moldova’s European ambitions.
The assignment covers Phase 1 of the Moldova Transport Investment Programme and Action Plan, focused on collecting and systematising all data required for subsequent model development and investment planning. This will be done by undertaking large-scale multimodal surveys across the country and via extensive stakeholder engagement.
