Analysis
Our ecological experts carry out targeted ecological assessments. From the ground, they pre-identify areas of the building that are likely to be used by protected species for shelter. Expansion joints, air gaps, spaces under coping stones, unused attics, etc. are spaces regularly occupied by sparrows, swifts or pipistrelles.
These spaces will therefore be examined using endoscopes or thermal cameras to determine whether they are used or usable by protected species.

Eco-design
This mission draws on the multidisciplinary expertise of Egis teams to transform buildings into spaces that promote biodiversity.
Our ecological experts design cavities tailored to the specific needs of each species. The materials used, the volume and geometry of the cavity, the size of its entrance, the best location for integrating it into the building... nothing is left to chance to ensure that the facilities are attractive and coexist perfectly with the building's users.
Our building experts anticipate the various technical issues involved in integrating these solutions. Thermal, acoustic, waterproofing, structural and fire safety issues are all taken into account in our designs. These facilities, protected within the building's envelope or structure, can therefore be used by the target species for decades.

This on-site monitoring ensures that the devices are perfectly integrated while respecting the needs of the species.

A monitoring service can be put in place on request so as to harvest data about a building's occupancy, the success rates of broods and the behaviour of species. The data obtained can be used to measure and share information about the impact of the solutions implemented, and contribute to scientific research.
