Egis advise two major Ukrainian cities on urban mobility issues

The International Finance Corporation (IFC) has entrusted Egis to provide urban mobility development advices to the cities of Zaporizhzhia and Kryvyi Rih.

Zaporizhzhia and Kryvyi Rih are two major industrial centres of Central Ukraine with a population of 700,000 inhabitants. The advisory support include the technical reviews of electrical infrastructure to modernize the trolleybus system and deploy pilot e-buses in Zaporizhzhia, the fast tramway system in Kryvyi Rih, recommendations on related infrastructure construction/upgrade (e.g. substations, catenary lines, tramway tracks, etc.), and advise on new technology solutions for a new traffic management system in Zaporizhzhia.

In both cities, we also support the two cities in optimizing their networks and improving the financial viability of municipal transit companies. Finally, we will support the cities to procure the rolling stock and EPC works, which will be financed by the IFC.

Mobility, rail and ukrainian teams are involved in the project, which reinforces the leadership of Egis in the urban mobility market in Ukraine.

Mission duration: June-December 2020.
