In the Infrastructure category, Egis has won second prize at the American Concrete Institute's 2018 Excellence in Concrete Construction Awards for the Viroflay underground station project.
The award ceremony took place on the 15th October at Las Vegas. In total, 80 projects were in this year’s competition, the nomination was carried by the ACI’s branch in Paris, and promoted by Atelier Schall, the architect who worked on the underground stations for the project.
A new mark of recognition for Egis teams!
From 2006 to 2016, Egis carried out project management of the underground part of Line 6 (T6) between Vélizy and Viroflay. The section on which Egis intervened was 2.2 km, 1600m of underground tunnel between Viroflay and Vélizy and 600 m crossing of the Meudon woods, and included 2 underground stations.
Egis was accompanied by the architects Richez et associés for the realization of the tramway facilities and by Atelier Schall for the design of the 2 underground stations.
A complex project that Egis has managed to do thanks to its teams.
