Tourism and leisure: launch of the brand Voltere by Egis

With Voltere, Egis creates the conditions to become a leading player in consulting in the field of hotel management, tourism and leisure.

Thierry Coltier, Philippe Doizelet and Stéphane Durand, the founding partners of Kanopée SAS, a consultancy acquired by Egis in early September, have created the brand Voltere.

Specialising in asset management and development for the hotel, tourism and leisure sectors, Voltere will help us expand our footprint in France and abroad and become a go-to player for public and private sector customers.

Tourism and leisure, a strategic sector

The tourism and leisure sector is one of the biggest economic sectors worldwide.

In the wake of the COVID crisis, it has received massive support from the Government in France, with 18 billion euros earmarked under its stimulus package.

The sector harbours multiple opportunities with:

  • substantial investment which must be made due to hotel and tourism assets built in the 1970s becoming outdated;
  • its status as a major component in all projects relating to urban planning, wasteland redevelopment or the reconversion of buildings that incorporate new mixed uses.

This trend offers significant potential for innovation and development, most of all in connection with the transition to a lower ecological and climate footprint.

Voltere by Egis, a leading brand

Providing their strategic, operational and financial consulting services to tourist regions and players in France and abroad, the approximately twenty employees dedicated to this activity will be able to draw on the skills of the Egis Group in the areas of project structuring, urban and real estate programming, regional development strategy, communication, training, design and project management.

With offices in Paris and Abidjan, Voltere’s client portfolio includes globally-renowned operators such as Accor, Club Med, Groupe Pierre & Vacances Center Parcs and Compagnie des Alpes, but also domestic and international financial investors, institutions and bodies such as BPI France, AFD Proparco, EBRD and IFC World Bank.
