Can you tell us about your experience at Egis so far and how it aligns with your professional goals and aspirations?
Working at Egis has been an enriching experience that perfectly aligns with my career aspirations of excelling in project controls within a dynamic and impactful industry. My role as a Project Control Engineer in the PMO at Matarat has allowed me to implement and refine project control frameworks, contribute to reporting processes, and manage large-scale projects. Working closely with the Project Leaderships Mohannad Nimer, Jan-Bjorn Schomann, and Rachid Maalouf has further enriched my experience, providing valuable insights and mentorship. This has enhanced my ability to ensure alignment between project execution and strategic objectives, a skill critical to my long-term goal of becoming a leader in project management.
What specific projects or tasks have you been involved in during your time at Egis, and how have they helped you grow professionally?
At Egis, I am involved in the PMO project for Matarat where we oversee and manage various infrastructure and development initiatives in the aviation sector. My role in project control has provided me with hands-on experience in monitoring and reporting on project progress, ensuring alignment with established timelines and budgets, and refining my skills in managing large-scale projects efficiently.

How do you see yourself contributing to Saudi Vision 2030, and what steps are you taking to align your work with its objectives?
Being part of Egis and the Matarat PMO places me in a unique position to contribute to Saudi Vision 2030. My work directly supports the advancement of critical infrastructure projects, which are key to achieving the Kingdom’s ambitious goals for economic diversification and sustainable growth. By implementing project control frameworks and ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, I am helping to lay the foundation for transformative developments in aviation and beyond. This aligns with the Vision’s emphasis on excellence, innovation, and sustainability, and I am proud to be playing a role in shaping Saudi Arabia’s future.

Can you tell us about your experience at Egis so far and how it aligns with your professional goals and aspirations?
My experience at Egis has been incredible and aligns perfectly with my ambition of becoming a successful architect. The company’s commitment to innovation and excellence has encouraged me to challenge myself and think creatively. Through my internship, I gained valuable insights into the engineering industry and developed essential skills such as project management and problem-solving. I’m grateful for the opportunities to engage directly in planning the Kingdom’s cities, which brings me closer to my dream of leaving a mark as a Saudi architect in Vision 2030 projects.
What specific projects or tasks have you been involved in during your time at Egis, and how have they helped you grow professionally?
I’ve worked on three key projects: RCRC (the Royal Commission for Riyadh City), Qiddiya, and The Line project. These projects pushed me to learn new skills in various engineering software, conduct extensive research, deliver presentations, and interact with clients, culminating in impactful designs. The immense effort invested in these projects has been rewarding and has significantly contributed to my professional growth.
How do you see yourself contributing to Saudi Vision 2030, and what steps are you taking to align your work with its objectives?
As an aspiring architect, I am determined to actively contribute to Saudi Vision 2030 by participating in projects that align with its goals. I believe sustainable development and technological advancements are key drivers of progress, and I’m committed to incorporating these principles into my work. Leveraging the skills and knowledge I’ve gained at Egis, I aim to contribute to urban planning and architectural design efforts that support the realization of this visionary plan.
What achievements and milestones did you experience in the last year after completing the intern program?
Over the past year, after completing the internship program, I achieved a significant milestone by obtaining Professional Accreditation from the Saudi Council of Engineers, showcasing my dedication to the field. Additionally, I completed a 25-hour course to become a Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), further strengthening my project management skills and commitment to continuous learning.
