The construction industry has been the cornerstone of urban and economic development in Mexico for decades. It accounts for nearly 6% of the country's GDP and employs millions of people directly and indirectly. However, many of its processes are still rooted in traditional models that no longer respond to today's challenges. This leads to inefficiencies, cost overruns, material waste, and an environmental impact that we can no longer ignore.
According to the McKinsey Global Institute report Reinventing Construction: A Route to Higher Productivity, 98% of large real estate projects worldwide face cost overruns of more than 30%, and 77% suffer significant delays. These figures reflect an unsustainable reality that demands profound change.
