Egis in Ireland, part of the global infrastructure and engineering consultancy, is one of the first Irish companies to join Thrive, the prominent social value and sustainability reporting platform, reflecting the global firm’s commitment to deepening the social value delivered by its people and projects across Ireland.
Thrive is used by organisations and public sector bodies to measure, track and report on their social and environmental impact. Egis will use Thrive to track and report the social impact of its activity using a consistent, evidence-based approach, moving social value from a reported outcome to a managed, improvable part of project delivery.
Egis’ adoption of Thrive builds on its established comprehensive social value programme, which includes an active culture of community engagement and learning. As a CPD-accredited organisation, the Irish team runs fortnightly lunch and learn sessions for staff, spanning sustainability, diversity and inclusion, and professional development. The firm also hosts Transition Year students for work experience and runs an active social programme of activity for staff. Adopting Thrive gives Egis a standardised methodology to benchmark performance, demonstrate outcomes for clients and communities, and embed social value earlier in the project lifecycle.
As an early participant in the Thrive platform Egis will also help shape how social value is measured across the Irish infrastructure sector, sharing data and learning as the platform’s reach extends and it matures.
This comes at an exciting time as Egis has joined the Business for Societal Impact (B4SI) global standard, reinforcing our commitment to measuring and strengthening the social value we create through our projects and operations.
As expectations around social value continue to grow, B4SI provides a globally recognised framework that helps us better understand, measure and enhance our social impact. For Egis, this supports a more consistent, evidence-based approach to delivering meaningful outcomes for our clients, communities and people.
