One of Egis' greatest assets in East Africa is its local presence, even in the most remote areas.

With offices in several countries and two operating subsidiaries, one in Madagascar (Egis Inframad), the other in Kenya (Egis Kenya), the group has the means to listen to its clients and offer tailor-made solutions in these regions which can be as large as they are difficult to access.

With a presence in Mozambique, Ethiopia, the five countries of the East African Community (Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi) and the Indian Ocean, Egis is involved in projects of all sizes and across many sectors.

The group is also active in the water sector, boasting large-scale projects: in Kenya for example, the comprehensive surveys of all of the engineering structures of the Ruiru II Dam project, studies and works supervision for the construction of 20 water wells on the aquifer of Dar es Salaam in Tanzania.

Recently, with funding from the European Development Fund, Egis won the contract for overseeing and monitoring development of border areas in the Democratic Republic of Congo, in Burundi and Rwanda. The project aims to improve socio-economic relations in the region.
