<h6>In 2020, four airports from the network of airports operated by egis have received «airport carbon accreditation»</h6>
<p class="body4">Airport Carbon Accreditation (ACA), initiated by the Airport Council International (ACI), is the only international programme to reduce the greenhouse gas emissions specifically generated by airports. It includes four levels of accreditation (table below). Obtaining this certification was an opportunity for the airports of Abidjan (Ivory Coast), Libreville (Gabon), Larnaka and Paphos (Cyprus) to confirm their desire to implement an action plan to control and reduce their carbon footprint.</p>

<h6 class="body4">To decrease the traffic congestion and the greenhouse Gas emissions</h6>
<p class="body4">Implemented in 136 cities, in 39 countries, the bus rapid transit system (brt) provides an attractive and efficient public transport in terms of frequency, speed, reliability and safety.</p>
<p class="body4">Compared to transport by car, this public transportation helps to reduce the greenhouse gas emissions. On the BRT implemented in Cebu city in Philippines (1 million inhabitants), the anticipated reduction of carbon emissions is planned to reach 185,000 tons/year1 – representing an equivalent saving of 40% compared to the current total annual emissions from urban transport in Cebu2.</p>

<h6 class="body4">A solution that has proven its worth when it comes to energy efficiency.</h6>
<p class="body4">Straw is increasingly being used to insulate wooden buildings, because of the numerous benefits it brings. Clean, often in plentiful supply, and offering high levels of insulation, this local and cost-effective material is the king of energy efficiency. Egis, in partnership with DCL Architectes, is working on a straw building project for a new school in the Netreville district of Evreux in Normandy, France. In 2019, there are almost 5,000 buildings made of straw in France and every year 300 to 500 new buildings are added to the list.</p>
