Motorway & tunnel infrastructure.
Over the years, we’ve become a trusted partner on many complex projects. We now operate and maintain 470+km of the Irish motorway network and all of its tunnels.
The Dublin Tunnel – under our operation since 2006 – is a 4.5km twin-bore dual carriageway and one of the country’s most significant pieces of infrastructure. The state-of-the-art Motorway Traffic Control Centre we operate and maintain has the second-largest video screen wall in Europe.
Drawing on our global expertise, we deploy best practices in asset management across the network. This is evidenced in the high performance of our 24/7 control centres, emergency response services, traffic management, inspections and ongoing maintenance.
Toll services & mobility systems.
From operating the national Disability Toll Exemption Scheme to running nationwide enforcement camera systems on behalf of the government, we use advanced IT to deliver smart systems. We’re continually innovating across the Irish road network, deploying the most sophisticated and value-for-money solutions available.
Under our commercial brand, Easytrip Ireland, we also offer a Micro Payment Network and sophisticated service for over 250,000 private and commercial vehicles. As well as tolling, customers can pay for a number of services, including insurance, through one simple mobility account over several technologies, including DSRC, ANPR and BLE.
Rail & urban transit.
Since 1994, our teams designed the first two lines of the Dublin Luas and today; we’re helping deliver the proposed Luas Finglas extension. Our long-term partnership focus means we ensure your assets are operationally, financially, and environmentally efficient throughout their lifespan.
Our expertise extends to depots, operations, maintenance, analytics, and asset management. We’re currently modernising the signalling and Train Management system on behalf of Irish Rail, helping to improve network safety along 2400 km of the country’s network.
Sustainability.
As a group, Egis aims to be carbon neutral by 2050. Since 2018 we have already cut carbon emissions by 17% across our road networks and use renewable energy across 50% of our operations. From impact assessments to dedicated programmes to boost biodiversity, we ensure projects meet the highest standards for sustainability, recognised by our ISO 14001/50001 Energy Management certification.
