Egis appoints Sara Wadlow to lead Transportation Structures in Canada
Egis in Canada has appointed Sara Wadlow, P.Eng., as leader of its Transportation Structures, effective July 6, 2026. Based in Calgary, Sara will be responsible for advancing the firm’s structures capabilities, support project delivery across major infrastructure programs, and contributing to Egis’ continued growth in the Canadian market.
Sara brings 17 years of experience in consulting engineering, with a focus on bridge and transportation structures. Her appointment reflects Egis’ ongoing investment in strengthening its technical leadership and scaling its transportation offering across Canada, particularly in Western Canada. She is an active member of industry organizations, including the Transportation Association of Canada and Canadian Society of Civil Engineers.
Over the course of her career, she has contributed to the development and expansion of a regional bridge practice, supporting multidisciplinary project delivery across Alberta, British Columbia, and Saskatchewan. Her experience includes the delivery of complex infrastructure projects for private, municipal and provincial clients, including major bridge replacements, river crossings, and highway widening programs.
She has led multidisciplinary teams and overseen project portfolios involving significant stakeholder coordination, environmental considerations, and phased delivery requirements. In addition to project delivery, Sara has been actively involved in organizational leadership and strategic planning. participating in governance at the subsidiary board level, and supported alignment of operational priorities across business units.
In her new role, Sara will work closely with regional and national leadership to strengthen the integration of structures expertise across Egis’ transportation initiatives. Her focus will include advancing technical excellence, developing teams, and enhancing delivery performance on complex infrastructure programs.
Her appointment further supports Egis’ ambition to expand its presence in Canada’s transportation sector by combining local expertise with the firm’s global capabilities.
