Sharing expertise and know-how.
We share knowledge and innovations with all our road operating companies through our “Operators Club”. The quality and performance of operations are regularly audited so we can support our clients across ecological, digital and energy transitions.
A strong partnership culture.
A history of partnerships that go back 30 years demonstrate our ability to meet our clients’ needs. Having shared goals and working closely together has been key to every project’s long-term success.
While we work in close proximity at a local level, we draw on our international experience to offer the most relevant, advanced solutions.
Sustainability focused.
Collaborating with our partners, we reduce the environmental impact of our operations and encourage biodiversity - since 2018 we have cut carbon emissions by 17% across our road networks. We also use renewable energy across 50% of our operations, including generating our own photovoltaic power in operation and maintenance centres and tunnels. These are just some of the many ways we focus on sustainability and achieve our ISO 14001 certification standard year on year including the certification ISO 50001 Energy management.
Proven innovations.
We have developed and integrated advanced digital solutions to improve the economic and environmental performance – as well as manage the life cycle maintenance – of road infrastructure.
- Digital Twins to optimise efficiency.
The Digital Twin is a virtual model of your road infrastructure. We use this to model changes and optimise efficiency, such as with Brussels’s NATO tunnel. - Artificial Intelligence for predictive maintenance.
On the UK’s M25 motorway we’re using artificial intelligence for predictive maintenance and fault detection; aiming to plan repairs, cut costs and improve performance. - Virtual Reality to train our patrollers.
Virtual Reality headsets can be used to train maintenance teams without risking their safety. In 2020, Egis won the toll excellence award from IBTTA* for the deployment of this innovation on the A63 motorway in France. - Cybersecurity to protect infrastructure.
Our dedicated cybersecurity teams protect our infrastructure from threats and vulnerabilities with audits, penetration testing and red team assessment missions. - Data management for tolling systems.
We offer deep expertise in data management for all types of tolling systems, including free-flow projects based on Automatic Number Plate Recognition. It's also used for incident and traffic flow forecasting at our toll plazas.
